Easy

Black moves first.

Black to move

Play your move on the board. The eye tells you whether it's the right one, and if not, what goes wrong.

Then take the next puzzle, or play on against the computer.

Find the mistakes you keep making

  1. Bring them in

Enter your Lichess or Chess.com username and choose 25, 50, or 100 games. A PGN file works too.

  2. Let the computer check them

The computer analyzes your games in your own browser. On a fast PC, 50 games take about half a minute; on a phone, longer.

  3. Practice what you find

You practice with positions from your own games. Miss the better move and the position comes back after 1, 3, and 7 days.

What the eye looks for

Your overview counts how often each mistake happens, and in which phase of the game.
